Interactive Simulator — Product Vision Concept

The Opportunity

Most introductions to machine learning start with notation. Learners without a mathematical background disengage before they see how a network behaves.

The Product Concept

Short guided lessons paired with interactive simulations, where the learner adjusts a value and immediately sees the effect, supported by game-inspired progression.

My Role

Educational UX designer and frontend builder. I structured the curriculum flow, designed the lesson and simulation interfaces and implemented the responsive frontend.

Key Features

Guided visual lessons

Concepts introduced visually before any formal notation.

Interactive simulations

Direct manipulation of parameters with immediate feedback.

Game-inspired progression

Light progression cues that reward continued practice.

Multilingual lessons

Lesson content planned for English, Swedish and Thai.

Challenges and Decisions

Supporting multiple languages

Technical vocabulary needed consistent translation choices; I keep a shared glossary so terms do not drift between lessons.

Keeping simulations readable on mobile

Visualisations reflow to a single column and reduce detail rather than shrinking to an unreadable size.

What I Learned

  • · Interactivity teaches intuition faster than explanation.
  • · Translating technical education requires a glossary discipline from the start.

Current Status and Next Steps

Lesson structure, interface design and several interactive prototypes exist. Full curriculum coverage and complete Thai translation are in progress.
